Trump Organization Attempted to Hire Almost 200 Workers on Visas in 2025

Donald Trump’s corporate entity accelerated its hiring of overseas employees on short-term work permits this period, even as his government was placing obstacles for other businesses attempting to do the identical, an analysis released recently stated.

According to data from the US Department of Labor, the business aimed to bring in at least nearly 200 foreign workers in the coming year for short-term roles at the US president’s Mar-a-Lago resort, golf facilities and his Virginia winery.

The quantity of requests for H-2A and H-2B visas covering staff including servers, clerks, cleaning staff, culinary employees and farm workers was the record submitted by the organization, and increased from over 120 in the previous term, when Trump’s first term ended.

It was also the fifth instance in 10 years that the former president had attempted to bring in over a hundred overseas workers for temporary positions at Mar-a-Lago, according to available data.

The revelation comes amid a tightening on immigration laws by his administration that has included the introduction of a $100,000 fee on H1-B visas; increased review of the activities of the millions of people who possess US visas; and tighter regulations for foreign students and journalists.

Overall, the Trump Organization aimed to hire 566 overseas workers over the five years the former president has been in the presidency, from his first term and during the upcoming year.

Significantly, Trump was criticized by some in the Republican party this week for comments defending the necessity for overseas employees when a company was unable to find people with “specific talents” to fill particular roles.

“You cannot just say a nation is entering, going to spend $10bn to construct a plant, and going to recruit individuals off an jobless roster who haven’t worked in years, and they’re going to start making their defense systems. It isn’t feasible that well,” he stated to a host after it was implied that foreign workers undercut the wages of US workers.

The White House refused a inquiry for response, and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to an inquiry.
