The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
