The fact it required up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to possess a record if not provided the possibility.

Finally, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her newest gem.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was removed Australia required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this championship is likely to be her last as captain in 50-over cricket and she is hasn't yet secured an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
