Real Madrid's winger Extends Apology to Los Blancos Fans
The attacker has scored 5 strikes in ten domestic competition appearances so far this term.
Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's intense match against Barcelona win.
The Brazilian was taken off in the second half and displayed his annoyance by walking immediately down the tunnel.
The Brazilian subsequently came back to the bench and, after his side's 2-1 win, sought to engage Barça's opposing player during unsavoury post-match scenes.
"Today I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my behavior when I was replaced in the derby," Vinicius wrote on his account.
"Just as I have previously expressed during the latest practice, I would like to express regret anew to my colleagues, the club, and the president.
"At times fervor gets the better of me because I continuously aim to succeed and help my team. My winning mentality comes from the affection I have for this team and each thing it stands for."
Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in 2018 for £38.7m and has notched over a century of strikes in numerous matches.
But his future in the La Liga is uncertain with speculation in the past few months suggesting that Real would contemplate allowing the player move on if they were to receive a good proposal.
When Vinicius was replaced on the match day, TV coverage from broadcaster the platform captured him saying: "Again me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I go, I'm moving on."
In his new statement on X, he stated: "I vow to keep battling at all times for the benefit of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
