Dominant Sabalenka Wins Consecutive WTA Top Player Accolades.

Aryna Sabalenka in action
Aryna Sabalenka finished the season with an impressive twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.

The 27-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Consistency

Across the season, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the whole season as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and collected a historic £11m in tournament winnings.

She garnered almost eighty percent of the votes submitted by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
