British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge comes as the global fight fans had expressed its support for the champion in the wake of the devastating accident.
